The perfect weekend in Lakewood, Wisconsin includes a plethora of activities. This weekend getaway is for people that truly love the outdoors. You will stay in the Chequamegon-Nicolet national forest on Boot Lake. The Beautiful campground has no electricity or running water (http://www.hikercentral.com/campgrounds/118787.html) and is very majestic. You can spend your days on the beach of the crystal clear lake, or do one of the many outdoor activites that are offered near by. Some of the activities include rafting down the Wolf River, hiking through the National Forest, or kayaking around one of the many nearby lakes. In your down time on the trip when you just feel like relaxing you can cast a line into the lake and do some fishing. The lake is full of panfish, northern pike, musky, and suckers.
